Meet Mickie, a male gibbon we recently rescued from Samui island⁠.

COVID-19 has meant less tourists for illegal animal photo prop businesses and he was recently abandoned near village by his owner.

⁠Since being rescued, we gave Mickie a full health and blood test. Unfortunately, he is extremely addicted to people and has not expressed interested in eating wild food.

Regardless of these circumstances, we are hopeful to be able to fully rehabilitate him with time and will continue to provide Mickie with the care he needs.
